A Glowing September Ranch Soiree

Lexi and Vince’s early September Rockfish Ranch wedding was a special private estate retreat that brought friends and family together for a joyful celebration with flowing focused ease.

Charlottesville wedding planner Kim Smith of Heartsick Retreats curated a spacious natural wedding experience wrapped in sweeping Blue Ridge Mountain vistas. Outside, fall descended on misty countryside forests and foothills. Under the majestic illuminated sailcloth tent, gold flatware glinted against crisp white and cobalt linens while a beautiful long farm table welcomed guests to dinner with personalized place settings and menus.

Charlottesville wedding photographers Amy and Jackson of The Smiths Photography caught genuine shared smiles and tears, touching family moments, darling flower girls dropping red rose petals, a beaming bride and a merry circular tented ceremony. Natural fall florals in rich layered leafing and white, orange and deep magenta blooms by Charlottesville wedding floral designers Heartrock Retreats and Wayflowering set the earthy tone.

Detailed images caught raw emotion and abundant laughter, the bride and groom’s white Nike high-top sneakers and an ivory two-tier cake trimmed in pearl and gold.

Charlottesville wedding caterer Susan Nelson conducted a main event multi-course feast of minced greens salad, four-cheese ravioli, roasted chicken breast and a rosemary seasoned roast beef served with chilled farm green beans and freshly baked rolls. A delightful dessert offering included lemon meringue, chocolate symphony cannoli, almond cake with cherry jam and more.
