Tucked into the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains just outside of Charlottesville, Foxtail Cottage is a countryside floral design studio known for handcrafted beauty and organic style. Founder Karen Thorsey launched Foxtail backed by a lifelong passion for the arts, design and flowers.
 
Karen attended Bowdoin College and graduated with a B.A. in English and Art History from The University of Virginia. She helped establish multiple locally owned high-end floral shops before opening her own design studio in 2013.​ Karen is a visual floral designer with an eye for texture, color and unique arrangements.

Foxtail Cottage’s artistic team crafts personalized Charlottesville wedding floral proposals, offering up detailed romantic color palettes and moods or themes, custom designed guest tables, arbor and chuppah rentals and dedicated staff for day-of delivery. The team will also return to the venue after your event, so your family and friends never have to worry about returning any items.
