Michael and Carina

Michael and Carina met as teenagers and became pen pals, he in Virginia, she in Germany. Over the years, they evolved as best friends and fell in love. Now, the Charlottesville wedding photographers share a love of film and a deep awareness of history, beauty and emotion in their work. They photograph couples across the U.S. and Europe and their images have been featured in Southern Weddings, Bride Magazine, The Knot, Style Me Pretty, Wedding Sparrow and more.
 
In 2015, they were named among the Best Photographers in the World by Mod Weddings. Michael and Carina are dedicated to capturing images in a way that authentically documents real Charlottesville weddings while creating timeless, emotional heirlooms. They use a delicate combination of medium format film and natural light to focus on exquisite details, documenting real moments as they happen.
