Old World Romance at Cosmos Club

Hannah and Alec celebrated their June wedding across two of Washington’s most iconic settings, beginning with a heartfelt ceremony at St. Dominic Church before continuing the evening at Cosmos Club. The day blended timeless tradition with old world elegance, unfolding with a sense of warmth, romance, and grandeur.

Following the ceremony, guests gathered inside the historic interiors of the Cosmos Club, where sweeping staircases, gilded moldings, crystal chandeliers, and richly detailed rooms created a dramatic backdrop for the celebration. The reception embraced a luminous palette of blush, champagne, burnt orange, and soft coral, carried through floral and event design by The Capital Flower Fairy. Arrangements of garden roses, ranunculus, sweet peas, and wildflower accents layered beautifully across the tablescape, joined by candlelight, gold chargers, and delicate dragonfly details that added warmth and personality to the refined setting. Akbar Sayed Photography brings a rich, editorial perspective to the day, balancing the grandeur of the setting with the emotion and movement of the celebration.
