Spring Wildflower Radiance at Wollam Gardens

Melissa and Dylan's May wedding at the lush Wollam Gardens was a joyful sunny spring celebration wrapped in wildflower, origami, butterfly and geode touches. Charlottesville wedding photographer Stephanie Dee captured the day's exuberant spirit, from the couple's touching first look among the verdant grounds to the cheerful reception under a sweeping event tent.

Leading up to the ceremony, the bride and her bridesmaids in sunshine yellow gowns primped and laughed, their vibrant bouquets by Ferdinand Loves Flowers adding pops of brilliant color against the historic stone walls. As the couple exchanged meaningful vows on the manicured lawn under grand shade trees, the arbor dripped with cascading greenery and blooms, creating a romantic natural sanctuary.

Cocktail hour overflowed with signature drinks and passed hors d'oeuvres from Charlottesville catering company Chesapeake Bartenders, allowing the newlyweds to greet loved ones amidst the garden's whimsical landscaping. Guests left messages for the couple on the vintage yellow rotary phone and played Jenga on cocktail tables. The reception in the market light-strung pavilion was nothing short of magical, with Madi Leigh Events' elegant design elevating the couple's personal style. Toasts, light saber wedding party play time and dance floor twirls continued into the evening.
