A Botanical Spring Affair at Birkby House

Gillian & Erick
Steeped in 18th-century history and surrounded by blooming spring gardens, Birkby House provided a picturesque setting for Gillian and Erick’s wedding, where timeless elegance and seasonal beauty came together effortlessly. Thoughtfully planned by Event Studio, the celebration embraced the estate’s historic charm through refined garden-inspired design.
The estate’s cobblestone courtyard created a romantic setting for the ceremony, where a wrought iron arch framed abundant arrangements of garden roses, lisianthus, delphinium, ranunculus, peonies, hydrangeas, buttercups, and cascading greenery. A palette of peach, blush, lavender, soft blue, cream, and fresh green carried throughout the celebration, while floral-lined aisles and delicate bud vases adorning each chair brought a charming garden-inspired aesthetic to the historic setting. Ariel Moriah Photography beautifully highlighted the estate’s timeless character alongside the heartfelt moments shared throughout the day, while Daniel Tanoukhi Productions preserved the celebration through cinematic storytelling.
The ballroom became the setting for the reception, where botanical print linens, woven rattan chargers, and green and white china reflected the celebration’s refined garden aesthetic. Centerpieces of peach and blush garden roses, lavender roses, pink snapdragons, and ivory blooms brought the spring palette indoors, while the sweetheart table overflowed with abundant florals and the warm glow of lavender taper candles. Melissa's Simply Sweet created an elegant buttercream cake adorned with delicate floral detailing that echoed the celebration’s romantic design.
As the evening continued, DJ Ellz DC kept the dance floor full as family and friends celebrated late into the night. Framed by the historic charm of Birkby House and the warmth of a spring evening, Gillian and Erick’s celebration came to a close with the timeless romance and joyful spirit that defined the day.
