A Coastal Tapestry of Color and Tradition at Atalaya Castle

Shruti & Cody
Shruti and Cody’s October wedding at the historic Atalaya Castle was a striking fusion of cultural richness and coastal elegance, set along the South Carolina shoreline in Murrells Inlet. With thoughtful planning and orchestration by Ash Events, the day unfolded seamlessly across the castle’s storied brick architecture, palm-lined grounds, and open courtyards, creating a celebration rooted in color, tradition, and joy.
The ceremony unfolded where wooden folding chairs lined a grassy aisle overflowing with vibrant florals in shades of orange, crimson, yellow, and soft pink. Designed by RSG Event Designs, the arrangements felt abundant and expressive, moving gently with the coastal breeze and bringing warmth to the castle’s timeless setting. The reception followed beneath a white-draped tent, where rattan light fixtures, layered greenery, and long wooden tables created a relaxed yet elevated atmosphere. Centerpieces in gold and crystal vessels echoed the ceremony palette, while thoughtful lighting and sound by MC Lighting & Sound set the tone for an evening filled with movement and celebration. Inlet Affairs delivered a menu that blended traditional and contemporary flavors, complemented by bar service from Lemon Or Lime that kept the energy flowing.
As the day transitioned into evening, Shruti and Cody stepped toward the shoreline for portraits bathed in the glow of an amber-orange sky. The warm sunset hues reflected softly against the water, offering a quiet, cinematic pause before the celebration continued. Broadway Jake Productions kept the dance floor alive late into the night, while Goldenbrook Photography captured the day with depth and intention, preserving both the vibrancy of the celebration and the stillness of its most intimate moments.
Shruti and Cody’s wedding was a radiant expression of love, culture, and place, where historic architecture, coastal light, and joyful design came together in unforgettable harmony.
