Vriti & Jeremiah

Vriti and Jeremiah celebrated their September wedding at the U.S. National Arboretum in Washington, DC, where a late summer day set the stage for a vibrant, culturally rich celebration. Surrounded by expansive gardens and historic landmarks, the setting brought together natural beauty and meaningful tradition, thoughtfully coordinated by Glorious Weddings and Events.

The ceremony unfolded on the open meadow lawn, framed by the iconic Capitol Columns rising in the distance. Beneath a wooden mandap adorned with dahlias, marigolds, hydrangeas, ferns, and cascading greenery in shades of saffron, coral, peach, and gold by Far Bungalow Farm, the couple exchanged vows in a setting full of color and symbolism. Traditional garlands of white carnations and delicate florals added a ceremonial touch, completing a scene that felt both joyful and reverent. Kate Melconian, alongside second shooter Sera Petras, approaches the day with a natural, documentary style that brings forward both the emotion and the richness of the setting.

As evening approached, the celebration moved to the Aquatic Garden Terrace, where the reception took place beside the reflective koi pond and mid century pavilion. Tables dressed in sage toned botanical linens from Pretty Little Wedding Co. and bentwood chairs were set beneath string lights woven through the surrounding trees, creating a warm, glowing atmosphere. Guests dined on a menu by Purple Onion Catering Co., gathering in the open air as the gentle movement of water and light added to the ambiance.

Blending tradition with a distinctive Washington backdrop, Vriti and Jeremiah’s wedding unfolded as a celebration full of color, connection, and intention, set against one of the city’s most memorable landscapes.
