A Lively Spring Affair at District Winery

Meghan and Nick celebrated their March wedding across two of Washington, DC’s most iconic settings, beginning with a traditional church ceremony and continuing into a lively waterfront reception at District Winery. Set on a crisp early spring day, the celebration carried a sense of energy and color that felt both fresh and deeply joyful.

The reception unfolded inside District Winery’s warm, light filled space, where tables were layered with a romantic gradient palette from soft blush to vibrant magenta. Lush arrangements of garden roses, peonies, sweet peas, and ranunculus by The Rosy Posy filled silver compotes, while pink taper candles, amber glassware, and linen runners added warmth and texture. Overhead, a striking floral installation of cascading roses and greenery suspended among string lights created a dramatic focal point. Guests dined on a menu by District Winery before the evening shifted into a spirited celebration. A three tier cake by Edibles Incredible Desserts, finished with piped detailing and cherries, offered a playful nod to vintage design, while a late night cotton candy station added a whimsical touch on the terrace. Beneath the glow of florals and lights, the dance floor remained full, closing a wedding that felt as dynamic and joyful as the couple themselves.
