Angie & Jim
Angie and Jim’s wedding at The Indigo House in Afton, Virginia, was a poetic tribute to spring, set against the rolling beauty of the Charlottesville countryside. The couple exchanged vows in April, surrounded by nature’s quiet grandeur and the soft rustle of leaves in the breeze.
Their intimate ceremony embraced the venue’s raw, organic charm. Rustic tree-stump altars were adorned with ivory roses and coral ranunculus, while a weathered circular arch, crowned with wildflowers, ferns, and baby’s breath, stood beneath a canopy of towering oaks. Dappled sunlight filtered through the trees, casting a golden glow over handcrafted wooden benches as Angie and Jim said "I do" with their beloved dogs by their side.
Following the ceremony, guests gathered around long farm tables set with flickering pillar candles and untamed arrangements of orange ranunculus. Artisanal charcuterie boards and signature cocktails, poured from vintage bottles, created a cozy, convivial atmosphere. A semi-naked cake topped with fresh berries offered a sweet finish to the evening.
As night fell, guests lined the path with flowing white streamers, creating a wave of light and movement through the night air. Angie and Jim shared one final kiss beneath the stars, the perfect ending to a celebration that felt as wild and beautiful as the land that cradled it.
Every detail of the day was brought to life with care and artistry. A&J Event Planning & Coordination not only envisioned a celebration that felt true to Angie and Jim’s spirit, but also designed and styled it with lush seasonal florals that echoed the wild beauty of the venue. Eva Reede Photography brought a timeless eye to every frame, capturing the quiet emotion and natural splendor of the day with warmth and intention. Together, their work turned this spring wedding into a heartfelt story, beautifully told.
