A Modern Autumn Affair at The Line Hotel DC

Erika & Alex
Erika and Alex’s love story unfolded in vibrant early autumn style at The Line Hotel DC. The wedding blended old world grandeur with a fresh, contemporary atmosphere that carried effortlessly from ceremony to dance floor, with Leigh & Co. Events shaping the celebration with an effortless balance of refinement and warmth.
The celebration embraced a warm, garden-inspired palette of sage, forest green, peach, coral, blush, and golden yellow woven throughout the floral design. Arrangements by Poppy Flowers overflowing with roses, ranunculus, tulips, dahlias, scabiosa, and poppies brought vibrant movement and texture into every part of the day, including a dramatic installation cascading across the venue’s grand gilt-framed staircase mirror. Erika carried a lush bouquet layered with the same rich seasonal blooms, while bridesmaids carried clean white ranunculus arrangements softened with greenery for a fresh contrast. Ashley Eagleson Photography documents the celebration with a refined, editorial perspective that highlights both the architectural drama of the venue and the warmth woven throughout the day.
Cocktail hour unfolded on the rooftop terrace overlooking the Washington skyline as guests gathered beneath the golden light of sunset with cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres in hand. Inside the ballroom, charcoal linens, chartreuse napkins, candlelight, and low floral centerpieces transformed the reception into a warm, modern dinner party layered with color and texture. Catering by The LINE DC carried the evening with elevated seasonal cuisine, followed by a sculptural two-tier cake finished with peach roses and coral florals that echoed the palette woven throughout the celebration.
As the evening continued, the ballroom filled with music, movement, and nonstop energy as Erika and Alex shared their first dance surrounded by cheering guests beneath the warm glow of the venue’s dramatic interiors. The result was a wedding that felt stylish, expressive, and completely alive with the spirit of a Washington celebration in early fall.
