A Modern Love Story at Above ALX Community

Rhiannon and Vick celebrated their wedding at Above ALX Community, a modern rooftop venue overlooking the Alexandria skyline with views toward Washington, D.C. A light rain earlier in the day softened the cityscape, setting a cinematic tone and giving way to candid, rain-kissed portraits before the celebration moved skyward.

The ceremony unfolded high above the city, shaped by a vibrant palette of soft pastels layered with sunny yellows and warm oranges. Floral arrangements by Marylee featured hydrangeas, roses, ranunculus, and delicate greenery, arranged in expressive compositions that balanced romance with a modern edge. Boxwood accents and clear acrylic pedestals complemented the rooftop setting, while skyline views framed the exchange of vows and set the tone for a joyful, lighthearted celebration that continued with a playful champagne tower moment.

As the evening progressed, the rooftop transformed into an inviting celebration space filled with creative cocktails, heartfelt toasts, and a lively dance floor. Seamless setup, staffing, and bar service by Garden Party kept the night flowing, while catering from IndoChen and Aldo’s Italian Kitchen added a thoughtful culinary layer. Rentals from Select Event Group completed the rooftop design.
