Styled Shoot
This enchanting styled shoot at The Gadsden House in Charleston, South Carolina, was a love letter to the city’s enduring elegance, blending historic charm with modern romance through a dreamy palette of soft pastels and organic florals. Planned and designed by Britt Jones Co. and Kailee Robert Design, the editorial unfolded with thoughtful artistry in every detail.
The bride’s look embodied contemporary grace in a ruffle gown adorned with delicate crystal embellishments. Her refined low chignon and pearl drop earrings, styled by Lashes & Lace, framed her features with timeless sophistication. She carried a whimsical bouquet, brimming with pastel blooms including pink dahlias, purple clematis, peach ranunculus, and white daisies, creating a soft, garden-inspired vision. The groom, in a deep navy tuxedo with black lapels, brought quiet refinement to the scene, accented by a delicate floral boutonnière.
Inside The Gadsden House, the ceremony space felt like a page from a romantic novel. A dramatic floral installation by Colby West Design cascaded around a pristine white fireplace, while a golden mirror reflected the shimmer of the chandelier. Wooden chairs framed the intimate aisle, with candlelight and scattered blooms infusing the white-walled room with warmth and romance.
In the charming courtyard, reception tables dressed in powder blue linens sat beneath cheerful turquoise umbrellas. Sweet Rhi’s pastel cakes in shades of soft blue, lavender, and cream, each adorned with intricate sugar flowers, created an enchanting dessert display that complemented the shoot’s romantic aesthetic. Gold flatware, scalloped white plates, and vibrant centerpieces of ranunculus, dahlias, and cosmos completed this vision of refined Southern charm, perfectly suited to Charleston’s late-summer light.
Every detail was artfully captured by Leigh Hayward Photography, whose imagery balanced painterly softness with a crisp, editorial eye, ensuring each frame felt as luminous as the day itself.
