A Romantic Summer Garden Wedding at Lewis Ginter Botanical

Kay & Paul
Kay and Paul’s love story unfolded in vibrant summer style at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, where blooming roses, lush greenery, and golden evening light created a celebration that felt joyful, romantic, and unmistakably Richmond. Surrounded by the beauty of one of Virginia’s most beloved garden venues, the day embraced color, personality, and the natural beauty of the season.
The ceremony took place in the garden’s picturesque Rose Garden, framed by rustic stone pillars, wooden pergolas, and pathways lined with roses in shades of coral, blush, peach, and crimson. Kay brought a modern touch to the celebration in a chic short bridal gown finished with a dramatic bow, while Paul complemented the elegant atmosphere in a classic black tuxedo. The floral palette carried vibrant shades of coral peonies, peach and champagne roses, white lisianthus, blush hypericum berries, eucalyptus, and ferns woven throughout the bouquets and reception arrangements, creating a fresh garden inspired aesthetic perfectly suited to the setting. Paper & Gold Weddings brings forward the vibrant colors of the gardens alongside the genuine moments of joy shared throughout the day.
As the celebration continued, guests gathered among the gardens before transitioning into the reception, where floral centerpieces echoed the same rich seasonal palette layered across white linens. Restaurant Associates carried the evening with a thoughtfully curated dining experience, while the sweetheart table became a focal point with an abundant arrangement of roses, peonies, and greenery spilling across its length, bringing the beauty of the gardens indoors.
As evening settled in, the celebration shifted to the dance floor beneath colorful uplighting, where Kay and Paul shared a joyful dance surrounded by family and friends. It was a fitting finale to a wedding filled with color, laughter, and the effortless beauty of a Richmond summer in bloom.
