A Rooftop Affair in Full Color at Capitol View at 400

Sanjana & Arun
Sanjana and Arun celebrated their spring wedding at Capitol View at 400 in Washington, DC, where a vibrant, multi day celebration unfolded against one of the city’s most striking backdrops. Set high above the skyline, the venue framed each moment with sweeping views of the Capitol, creating a setting that felt both grand and distinctly personal.
For the ceremony, Sanjana wore a richly embroidered rose and gold lehenga with teal accents, layered with intricate gold and gemstone jewelry and detailed mehndi, while Arun arrived in festive baraat style in a cream and gold sherwani with a crimson velvet stole and turban. Sydnee Marie Photography renders the day with a vivid, editorial style that highlights both the color and movement of each moment, while Brandon Lee Films adds a cinematic depth to the celebration.
The following day, guests gathered on the rooftop terrace for cocktail hour, where blue printed linens and garden inspired arrangements of anthuriums, delphinium, Queen Anne’s lace, and fresh fruit by Wanton Poppies added texture and color against the open air setting. With the Capitol dome in view, the space felt lively and expansive, offering a distinctly Washington backdrop for the celebration.
As the evening unfolded, guests dined on a menu by IndAroma before the reception gave way to a high energy celebration. With entertainment by Dynasty AV and Entertainment, the dance floor came alive with choreographed performances and nonstop movement. The couple made their entrance surrounded by cheers, closing a wedding defined by culture, color, and an unmistakable sense of celebration.
