A Storybook Spring at Riverside on the Potomac

Spring welcomed Elise and Akshay to Riverside on the Potomac in Leesburg, Virginia, for a May wedding surrounded by lush greenery and views along the river. Delia-Anne & Co. coordinated the celebration as cultural traditions and personal details brought their families together throughout the day.

The ceremony took place on the waterfront patio, where J. Morris Flowers adorned a wooden arbor with blush roses, ivory hydrangeas, and blue delphinium against the surrounding pond and green farmland. Garden chairs lined the aisle with pastel pom poms and handmade paper roses in sage, blush, and dusty blue. Guests tossed petal confetti as Elise and Akshay shared their first kiss as newlyweds.

The reception continued inside the barn, where string lights and Moroccan style lanterns illuminated tables dressed in white linens, woven seagrass chargers, and dusty blue napkins. Low floral arrangements were paired with taper candles, handwritten place cards, and stacks of vintage books that nodded to the couple's love of reading.
