A Whimsical Summer Affair at Sylvanside Farm

Jane & Cole
Jane and Cole’s love story unfolded beneath the golden light of June at Sylvanside Farm, where rolling green lawns, historic stone buildings, and lush summer gardens created a celebration that felt whimsical, joyful, and deeply romantic. Set in the Virginia countryside at the height of summer, the day blended garden inspired elegance with warm, personal details woven throughout every moment.
The ceremony took place beneath the trees on the farm’s sweeping lawn, framed by antique wooden pedestals overflowing with seasonal florals by Bee’s Wing Farm. A live trio of cello, violin, and cajon percussion filled the air as guests gathered beneath the summer canopy. Jane carried a loose, garden gathered bouquet layered with blush ranunculus, coral sweet peas, roses, and wildflowers that paired beautifully with her off the shoulder gown and pearl choker, while Cole brought a bold touch of color in a cobalt blue suit. Akbar Sayed Photography captures the celebration with a vibrant, editorial perspective that highlights both the natural beauty of the countryside and the intimate moments shared throughout the day.
Inside Sylvanside Farm’s historic stone barn, the reception embraced a layered, collected atmosphere filled with botanical print linens, blue glassware, candlelight, velvet lounge seating, and lush floral arrangements spilling from gold candelabras. Rentals by Bella Villa Vintage Rentals added warmth and character throughout the space, while catering by Savoir Fare Limited carried the evening with a thoughtful farm to table dining experience. Small details like brass fox figurines, honey jar favors, and handwritten guest messages added a playful charm that made the celebration feel deeply personal.
As the evening settled into golden hour, Jane and Cole danced beneath glowing string lights inside the barn before slipping away barefoot across the grass to steal quiet moments beside a vintage Mercedes. The result was a wedding that felt effortless, expressive, and entirely alive with the spirit of a Virginia summer.
