Botanical Glamour at The Commonwealth Club

Emma & Will
A Richmond summer provided the perfect backdrop for Emma and Will’s wedding at The Commonwealth Club, where black tie elegance met vibrant garden party style. With Walsh Events orchestrating the celebration, the day embraced bold florals, lively entertainment, and timeless details layered throughout the club’s historic interiors.
Floral design by Katie Ranger Design Studio transformed the venue with abundant blooms in shades of fuchsia, blush, peach, coral, and green. A dramatic floral installation suspended above the cocktail hour bar became one of the reception’s defining features, overflowing with bougainvillea, peonies, garden roses, lisianthus, and trailing greenery. Botanical linens, colorful centerpieces, and citrus accents added playful summer touches, while Paige Ryan Photography documented both the grand design moments and the energy that filled the celebration. Lighting by The Wedding Lighting Co. enhanced the atmosphere throughout the evening, while rentals from Nuage Designs added refined layers of texture and style.
Guests gathered for a dining experience that featured an impressive sushi display with maki rolls, nigiri, tuna, seaweed salad, and vibrant garnishes that reflected the celebration’s elevated yet festive spirit.
As the celebration reached its height, glowing light sticks, live music, and nonstop dancing transformed the ballroom into a sea of celebration. Emma and Will made their final exit through a shower of confetti, closing the evening with all the energy, glamour, and excitement that defined the day from beginning to end.
