City Romance Beneath the DC Skyline at Viceroy

Nina & Nick

Nina and Nick celebrated their spring wedding at Viceroy Washington DC, where the city’s modern sophistication met the romance of the season. With its contemporary design and intimate atmosphere, the venue provided a stylish urban setting for a celebration shaped by soft pinks, creamy whites, and dusty blue accents.

The ceremony embraced both elegance and personal heritage. Sleek charcoal chairs framed an aisle scattered with rose petals and glowing pillar candles, creating a warm and intimate setting for the vows. A meaningful cultural touch came through Nick’s traditional Scottish attire, as he wore his family tartan kilt paired with a formal black jacket, silver Celtic brooch, and sporran, a striking tribute to his roots.

Floral design carried the romantic palette throughout the day with arrangements of garden roses, ranunculus, white anemones, and steel blue thistle layered with soft greenery. Nina’s bouquet reflected the same delicate mix of blooms and textures, beautifully complementing her gown with its illusion lace back and flowing pleated tulle sleeves.

The reception continued in the Viceroy’s elegant ballroom, where round tables dressed in ivory textured linens and white Chiavari chairs were styled with lush blush centerpieces and tall taper candles. Planning by The Venlist guided the celebration seamlessly as guests gathered for dinner and music filled the room with an intimate energy. Erin Winter Photography brought a timeless, light-filled perspective to the day, while portraits on the hotel’s rooftop terrace captured Nina and Nick against the golden glow of a Washington, DC skyline.
