Dramatic Architectural Allure at The Gibbes Museum of Art

Hannah-Rose and Anthony’s February Charleston wedding called on modern artistic lines and classic Charleston charm. Franzi Annika Photography’s husband-wife team Franzi and Martin played with light and shadows, capturing the newlywed’s connection with a contemporary, documentary-style approach. Charleston's premier cultural treasure, the Gibbes Museum of Art, provided a breathtaking ceremony and reception backdrop with rich architectural detail and grand artistic displays.

Mindful cameras orchestrated a strolling downtown Charleston shoot with the bride’s father holding her hand and driving her in a red vintage car, arriving to an ecstatic groom and encapsulating raw first-look emotion. Boutique Charleston wedding design firm YOJ Events tailored a striking ceremony under the Gibbes' Beaux Arts building’s opulent Tiffany-style glass dome followed by a tented starlit reception in the European-style Lenhardt Garden.

Chic black wedding party attire and the bride’s flattering glittering sleeved gown elevated the mod, polished and glamorous take on old Charleston. Décor by Snyder Events and Curated Events furthered the dramatic, vivid aesthetic through black and white linens, black matte flatware, golden chandeliers and bronze candlestick holders. The talented floral design team from Festoon Charleston crafted the most detailed cream bloom boutonnieres, delicate artful ivory bouquets intertwined with Queen Anne’s lace and romantic glass vase reception centerpieces.

Unique, personalized dashes engaged guests with an air hockey table, poker table, plein air artist and a cascading champagne tower while custom bespoke catering by Cru Catering delighted with prime rib and seasonal vegetables, soup, sliders and late-night epicurean dessert bites.
