Exotic Spring Blue and Gold at Wollam Gardens

Ashley and Cory’s spring celebration at Wollam Gardens glinted in rustic gold and deep blue with striking gemstone touches. Wollam Gardens floral experts plucked stunning blooms from the greenhouse and flower farm to create unique exotic bouquets and flowing table centerpieces in vibrant blue, purple, ivory and natural green foliage. Pride in Planning wove a dramatic head-turning cobalt, gold and geode theme throughout the day with shining cut gemstone reception name plates while Bride & Joy and Nance's Rustic Rentals elevated the rich palette with vintage blue glassware, gold plating and flatware and deep blue linens.

The couple offered guests pre-ceremony flutes of champagne and requested they unplug and enjoy the moment. Gold-etched glass mirrored signage, a DIY photo booth, a leave-a-message rotary phone guest book and welcoming tented lounge furnishings added to the relaxed aesthetic. An in loving memory table honored loved ones present in the couple’s hearts while a dark purple two-tier wedding cake adorned in cascading gemstone and geode detail made an artful statement.

Charlottesville wedding photographers with Mary Bell Photography captured the bride’s glittering heels and floating descent down the 1747 farmhouse’s romantic winding staircase, her father waiting to hand her a beautiful bouquet. A covered ceremony took place in the picturesque pavilion built by a local artist with fallen timber and accentuated by a custom hexagon ceremony arch wrapped in a flourishing floral installation of deep ruby, purple and white blooms. The casual family ceremony was filled with laughter and stories, shared glances and tender moments and the pavilion quickly transitioned to a stunning reception space while family portraits took place along the flower farm’s wall of blooming viburnum.
