Garden Light and Sonoma Romance at Sova Gardens

Sophia & Syrus
Sophia and Syrus’ love story unfolded beautifully on a sun-drenched September day at Sova Gardens, where garden paths, golden light, and open Sonoma landscapes created a celebration that felt warm, joyful, and effortlessly romantic. Thoughtfully guided by Sean Dempsey & Associates, the day flowed seamlessly from ceremony to reception.
The ceremony took place within the venue’s lush garden setting, where the couple exchanged vows beneath a gold circular arch framed by layers of deep greenery. Wooden chairs lined the grass aisle, accented with delicate bud vases of white roses, lavender, and eucalyptus that introduced the fresh botanical palette woven throughout the day. Bridesmaids in powder blue gowns carried soft white florals tied with blue ribbon, complementing the timeless palette of white, blue, and green. Hailey Hopkins Photography and The Uncommon Weddings leaned into the warmth and movement of the celebration, preserving both the garden setting and the emotion woven throughout the day.
The reception transformed the gardens into an intimate outdoor dinner party beneath market umbrellas and glowing string lights. Tables dressed in ivory linens were styled with airy arrangements of roses, peonies, ranunculus, and lisianthus, creating a look that felt elegant yet relaxed against the surrounding greenery. Catering by Out To Lunch Fine Catering carried the evening with a relaxed dining experience, while a playful dessert display by Nothing Bundt Cakes added a celebratory touch beneath the wisteria-draped pergola.
As sunset settled across the Sebastopol meadows, Sophia and Syrus slipped away for portraits among the golden grasses and oak trees before returning to a packed dance floor, where DJ Stallion kept the energy high beneath the pavilion lights. The evening carried on with nonstop movement and celebration, closing out a wedding that felt radiant, lively, and deeply connected to the beauty of Sonoma wine country.
