Polished Garden Style at The Gibbes Museum of Art

Ryan and Frankie’s May wedding at The Gibbes Museum of Art glowed in metropolitan glam and garden ease. The late spring soiree mixed modern Lowcountry aesthetic with classic wedding day tradition. The bride wore a fabulous sleeveless white couture dress, pearl earrings and timeless flowing veil as the couple shared their vows in a traditional church ceremony before moving to Charleston’s premier art museum for dinner and dancing.

Mother-daughter photo team Laura & Rachel Photography captured the day’s joys and emotions, including a procession of adorable flower girls and a sweet ring bearer, the museum’s tree- and vine-cloaked European-style Lenhardt Garden and immaculate ivory bouquets with delicate green leafing. Photographers documented the couple’s love story in tender moments under oaks dripping in enchanting moss, a touching front porch first look and garden embraces under ancient oaks.

The Gibbes Museum of Art delivered romantic picturesque settings in classic architectural detail, grand brick touches, stone fountains, live oaks and magical pathways. Décor by Snyder Events set a fairytale scene with cream and seaside blue linens, bronze seating, live plants and chic white lounge seating, elevating the pristine garden setting. Guests savored a three-tier Dessert Designs by Gisela white wedding cake and high-energy dancing to the jazz-fueled Emerald Empire Band. The couple’s college mascot made a dance floor appearance while luau leis and glow sticks set the party vibe before a sparkler and rickshaw send-off.
