Refined Blue and Gold Romance at Larz Anderson House

Amy & Kyle
Amy and Kyle exchanged vows at Larz Anderson House, where historic grandeur and modern romance came together in a celebration that felt elegant, vibrant, and full of life. Set within one of Washington, D.C.’s most iconic venues, the day unfolded across its ornate interiors and gardens with a seamless, elevated flow.
The ceremony took place in the Great Hall, where arched windows, gilded detailing, and parquet floors created a striking backdrop. A floral arch of greenery and white blooms by Petalos DC framed the altar, with candlelight adding a soft glow. The palette of powder blue, white, and gold carried throughout, reflected in lush florals that brought a refined, cohesive look to every moment. Molly Lichten Photography leans into a soft, editorial style, highlighting the balance of grandeur and intimacy across the day.
Cocktail hour moved into the richly detailed Flemish Room, where carved wood paneling and marble floors set a warm, intimate tone. Guests gathered among chinoiserie accents and soft blue details before the celebration transitioned outdoors to the Courtyard Garden. Beneath café lights and magnolia trees, tables dressed in blue and white linens, gold accents, and garden style centerpieces, with rentals by Select Event Group and Pretty Little Wedding Co., created an inviting al fresco setting. Catering by Spilled Milk Catering carried the experience with a refined and thoughtful menu.
As the evening continued, the celebration returned inside for dancing beneath crystal chandeliers, where the energy built into a lively, joy filled atmosphere. From the candlelit ceremony to the open air reception and vibrant dance floor, their wedding felt timeless, expressive, and beautifully layered across every space of the estate.
