On a breathtaking spring day in April, Michaela and Alexa celebrated their wedding at The Island House. Surrounded by sweeping marsh views and lush greenery, the couple’s love story unfolded in a setting that embodied both Lowcountry charm and refined coastal elegance.

Everything After the Ring brought their vision to life with a sophisticated palette of whites, soft blues, and natural wood tones. The ceremony lawn was dressed with white folding chairs, each facing a floral focal point of white roses, airy blue delphiniums, and cascading greenery. White parasols shaded guests beneath the warm Charleston sun, adding a touch of timeless Southern grace.

As the day transitioned into evening, a reception tent transformed into a dreamlike space under the guidance of EventWorks, Curated Events, and Adorn Charleston. Billowing white drapery, twinkling string lights, and disco balls suspended among greenery created a scene of modern enchantment. Wooden wishbone chairs framed tables set with crisp linens, delicate blue accents, and romantic floral arrangements by Everything After the Ring.

The celebration pulsed with vibrant energy, curated by Sparksbox and Bunn DJ Company, whose lighting and sound design filled the night with music and sparkle. Adding to the ambiance, Darius Starks Music enchanted guests with soulful live saxophone melodies, bridging romance and rhythm as the evening unfolded.

Duvall Catering & Events delighted guests with a menu that celebrated Charleston’s culinary spirit, while Nicky Sams preserved the day in motion through artful videography. Behind the lens, Franzi Annika Photography brought a polished, editorial touch, creating imagery that felt both timeless and full of life.
