Southern Garden Elegance at The Admiral’s House

Brooke & Tyler
Brooke and Tyler celebrated their wedding at The Admiral’s House in North Charleston, South Carolina. The late-winter-to-spring day carried an effortless elegance, with sunlight filtering through the live oaks and soft coastal breezes moving across the waterfront grounds. Direct My Day Charleston guided the celebration with thoughtful planning, setting the tone for a relaxed yet beautifully organized day.
The ceremony took place beneath the canopy of moss-draped oaks, where white garden chairs lined a gravel aisle scattered with petals and framed by lush garden beds. Floral urns by Branch Flower Shop layered the space with blush and terracotta roses, white ranunculus, Queen Anne’s lace, trailing amaranthus, and greenery, creating a romantic garden setting. A meaningful personal detail accompanied Brooke down the aisle as she wore a bracelet gifted by her mother-in-law, part of a family tradition passed down to each bride. The bracelet features a delicate tree motif, a fitting symbol beneath the towering oaks surrounding the venue.
Cocktail hour followed with champagne, margaritas, and a full open bar by Direct My Bar as guests mingled across the lawn. Cru Catering led the dining experience with passed bites including grape and cheese tarts, mini brisket tacos, and crab cakes, offering a flavorful nod to both land and sea. As dusk settled, the reception came to life beneath the ancient oaks and strands of glowing lights. Tables dressed in sage green and white botanical linens were styled with floral-painted china, gold flatware, taper candles, and table lamps that cast a warm, intimate glow across the lawn. Later in the evening, the couple surprised guests with custom hats embroidered with “Permanent Presswood,” adding a playful touch to the celebration.
Music by Kenny on the Keys carried special meaning for the couple, as the band that played the night they first met returned to perform at their wedding. MyKenzie Hill Photography approached the day with a bright, romantic perspective as the night closed with a joyful dip-and-kiss send-off beneath the lights and Spanish moss.
