Timeless Coastal Elegance at The Ocean Course at Kiawah

Meghan & Joe
Early autumn brought Meghan and Joe to The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island for a September wedding surrounded by fairways, windswept dunes, and Atlantic views. The coastal setting carried the transition from summer into fall throughout the celebration.
The couple said "I do" in a church ceremony before heading to Kiawah Island for the rest of the celebration. Cocktail hour unfolded across the manicured lawn, with guests enjoying passed bites while Meghan and Joe stepped onto the putting green for a few swings.
The reception brought together soft white, cream, blush, and powder blue, with Bliss in Bloom Charleston carrying the floral design from Meghan's bouquet of lily of the valley and tropical greenery to tables filled with garden roses, dahlias, ranunculus, and hydrangeas. Anderson Event Design, Curated Events Charleston, and LIT Charleston contributed to the setting with glass taper candles, monogrammed linens, and oversized sage green lanterns bringing warmth to the evening.
As the sun set in shades of pink and gold, Meghan and Joe spent the rest of the evening celebrating against the oceanfront landscape. Rebecca Sigety Photography makes full use of Kiawah's coastal light and open scenery, while Hart to Heart Media brings the movement and energy of the day into film.
With the Atlantic just beyond the fairways, The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island gave Meghan and Joe's early autumn wedding a distinctly coastal sense of place from beginning to end.
