Playing with wrought iron gates, cobblestone streets and prickly textured palms in early August rain, husband-wife wedding photography team Franzi Annika Photography captured artistic documentary-style imagery. A downtown streetside first look made for stunningly sharp dramatic keepsakes framed by iconic Charleston architecture while a breathtaking couple shoot juxtaposed black and white marble flooring and a deep rich wooden doorway.
 
Charleston wedding planners Intrigue Events organized an al fresco ceremony in between the courtyard’s soaring palmettos and lush greenery archway. Aerial photography caught an inventive overview of the ceremony, guests in polished wood chairs separated by elaborate rows of white blooms tucked into sprouting green foliage. Gild Florals created a one-of-a-kind bouquet of divine white orchids in a waterfall formation. Simple long-stemmed orchid table centerpieces and slender black and white candlesticks brought a clean, modern aesthetic to the reception’s bronze embellished table settings.
 
Cannon Green’s in-house catering crew pleased guests with trays of champagne while the newlyweds toasted and signed their marriage license. Guests engaged over Southern delicacies and specialty cocktails in the Trolley Room reception space, spilling out onto the courtyard under summer stars and glowing bistro lighting.
 
Décor and details by Curated Events, Snyder Events and Stradley Davidson created indoor and outdoor gathering nooks in plush ivory, teak and sage. Wine, jazz, a high-energy DJ and a three-tier textured white wedding cake crescendoed into an elated silver streamer exit.
