Vintage Blue and Countryside Charisma at King Family Vineyards

Adriana and John’s May wedding at King Family Vineyards accentuated the well-loved farm and legendary Charlottesville wedding venue’s natural countryside gifts. Planners from Mary Elizabeth Events crafted a seamless romantic late spring day across an idyllic lawn ceremony backed by sweeping mountain views and endless forested hillsides. The simple, special farmland vineyard shone under a gentle blue summer sky whispering with white clouds while windmills, horses and a beautiful equestrian barn added to the bucolic ambiance.

Fine art wedding imagery by Kristen Camielle Photography caught every detail from the bride’s striking gold heels and traditional veil to an enchanting first look wrapped in pastoral intimacy. Blue Ridge Mountain peaks silhouetted gorgeous sunny wedding party shots on the manicured lawn while Charlottesville floral designers from Willow Branch Flowers sweetened settings with seasonal pink and ivory blooms in their full natural glory.

Guests engaged with the Polaroid photo guestbook, stopping to pay respect to the “in loving memory” table of candles and framed photos of elders who had passed on. Napkins with the couple’s names and wedding date in gold alongside a signature cocktail menu featuring their smiling golden doodle revealed touching personalized detail and handmade honey pot escort cards stating “Love is sweet, take a treat and find your seat!” guided guests to dinner tables.

MS Events and BBJ Rentals set a loving reception space caressed in vintage dusty blue linens and goblets, farmhouse water carafes, gold flatware and classic white china. The carriage house event space emitted welcoming warmth with barrel stave chandeliers, exposed beams, granary oak floors, wine barrel décor and a grand stone fireplace while Harvest Moon Catering paired the farm’s award-winning wines with a locally sourced feast capped by a three-tier white wedding cake decked in rosy pink and tangerine blooms.
