Carly and Daniel celebrated their wedding in the heart of Charleston, South Carolina, at the breathtaking Lowndes Grove, a historic waterfront estate where timeless Southern charm meets sweeping coastal beauty.

Beneath the cathedral-like canopy of centuries-old oaks, their ceremony unfolded in perfect harmony, refined in its simplicity yet grand in its natural setting. An ethereal circular floral arch, lush with white roses and airy clouds of baby’s breath by Sweetleaf Floral, framed their vows against the shimmering Ashley River. Chiavari chairs lined the manicured lawn, while delicate white ribbons caught the spring breeze as guests looked on, witnessing their first kiss as husband and wife.

As golden hour bathed the estate in honeyed light, Carly and Daniel slipped away to Lowndes Grove’s romantic boardwalk. With the Ashley River glowing in the setting sun, Franzi Annika Photography captured each tender detail, the way their fingers intertwined and her veil drifted on the breeze, infusing every frame with a sense of romance.

The celebration continued beneath a magnificent white tent by Snyder Events, transformed by Charleston Glow Company into a luminous dream. Cascading crystal chandeliers bathed the space in a warm, romantic glow, illuminating tables draped in crisp white linens and accented with rich black napkins. Flickering candles in tall glass hurricanes danced alongside centerpieces of white roses and baby’s breath, echoing the ceremony’s timeless palette.

Guests dined on a culinary experience by PPHG, from artfully presented hors d’oeuvres to a lavish raw bar overflowing with fresh oysters and sweet local shrimp. The pristine white cake by RISE Bespoke Bakery Co., adorned with intricate detailing and a classic topper, served as the perfect finale.

As twilight gave way to night, amber and rose uplighting painted the tent in soft radiance, while the silhouettes of ancient oaks stretched against the starlit sky. Music, laughter, and the rhythm of dancing feet carried into the evening, in a celebration planned to perfection by Whatley Wedding Design—each moment steeped in the magic of Charleston’s coastal elegance.
