Wild Florals and Earth Tones at Keswick Vineyards

Shannon and Jason’s September Charlottesville wedding was accentuated by overflowing wildflower bouquets among Keswick Vineyards’ dreamy wine country setting beaming in full glowing late-summer bliss.

Charlottesville wedding floral designer Secret Gardens set the romantic tone with free-flowing natural florals as a harpist and violinist carried guests down the ceremony lawn. Vows were flanked by the property’s magnificent cascading fountain and stately columned estate mansion while the aisle was dressed in lush green foliage and brilliant ivory, magenta and rose-hued blooms. Even the signature cocktail — an elderflower old fashioned — delivered floral hints.

In his timeless documentarian style, renowned Charlottesville wedding photographer Robert Radifera captured amorous bridal touches in delicate gold jewelry and heels and earthy close-ups of wildflower boutonnieres and flower girl baskets. His trained lens caught raw emotion in rousing speeches, connective laughter, tender first dances and a high-vibe magnetic dance floor.

The couple snuck away for a newlywed vineyard photo shoot among tall sun-soaked vines while guests enjoyed a sunset cocktail hour on the green carriage house lawn. Keswick Vineyards’ luminescent hand-stitched Aurora tent hosted the reception, decorated in wooden farm tables, cream hemp linens, loads of greenery and fresh florals and soft twinkling candlelight. Charlottesville wedding caterer Harvest Moon showcased local seasonal flavors in artful hors d’oeuvres of canapés, grilled shrimp and crab cakes; garden heirloom caprese salads, and exquisite filet cuts.

A breathtaking three-tier custom wedding cake from Cakes By Rachel crowned a decadent dessert table that included traditional Jamaican black cake cupcakes alongside a top-flight bourbon bar.
