A Cozy Winter Wedding at The Bradbury

On a chilly January day, Catie and Jared exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony at Christ Episcopal Church, followed by a romantic reception at The Bradbury, one of Charlottesville’s most elegant historic venues. With its stately architecture, intricate moldings, and candlelit ballroom, the space offered a warm, inviting backdrop for their winter celebration.

Planned with care by Remembered Events, the day embraced a timeless palette of crisp whites, soft creams, and rich navy blues. Catie wore a classic ball gown with delicate lace detailing and a cathedral-length veil that flowed gracefully down the aisle. Her bridesmaids created a striking contrast in navy halter gowns, while their lush bouquets, crafted with ivory roses, ranunculus, and anemones were accented by silvery eucalyptus and winter greenery.

The reception at The Bradbury was a study in architectural grandeur and intimate sophistication. Beneath soaring ceilings and glowing chandeliers, guests dined at candlelit tables draped in navy runners and topped with lush white centerpieces of roses and anemones. Vintage banker’s lamps illuminated an inviting dessert station, while golden Chiavari chairs added a touch of classic refinement.

Harvest Moon Catering delighted guests with a decadent menu that celebrated the best of the Charlottesville region. From seasonal hors d’oeuvres to flavorful entrées, each dish was thoughtfully curated and beautifully presented. As the evening unfolded, Big Ray & The Kool Kats filled the ballroom with jazz melodies, bringing energy and joy to the dance floor beneath twinkling string lights.
