A December to Remember at The Mill at Fine Creek

Merrill and Jacob celebrated the most wonderful time of the year with an intimate December wedding at The Mill at Fine Creek, where a light dusting of snow blanketed the grounds and bare trees shimmered beneath the soft winter sun. A rich jewel-toned palette of crimson, sapphire, emerald, and plum added warmth, festive elegance, and romance to the winter landscape.

Strung with delicate bistro lights overhead, the courtyard provided an enchanting setting for the ceremony, where tall pedestal urns overflowing with crimson roses, white garden roses, powder blue hydrangeas, periwinkle delphinium, white stock, purple scabiosa, and cascading eucalyptus framed the altar in a lush display of jewel-toned blooms. M Henry Design carried the vibrant winter palette throughout the celebration, while Fine Creek Provisions & Café treated guests to an exceptional dining experience that perfectly complemented the warmth and charm of the venue.

Inside, the reception space was transformed into a cozy winter setting, where a towering Christmas tree shimmered in the center window beneath soft pink and amber uplighting. Gold Chiavari chairs surrounded long farmhouse tables dressed with blush linen runners and candlelit centerpieces of red roses, white chrysanthemums, blue delphinium, and lush greenery, blending holiday charm with timeless elegance. Among the reception's many thoughtful details, the wedding cake featured miniature hand-painted figurines of the couple's cats tucked between its tiers, adding a playful touch that reflected Merrill and Jacob's personalities. Rockdahouse Entertainment kept the dance floor lively throughout the evening, while Amelia B. Photography and RVA Film Works brought the day's festive atmosphere, meaningful details, and heartfelt moments together through photography and film.

As the night drew to a close, Merrill and Jacob shared a joyful confetti send-off surrounded by family and friends as they celebrated the start of the couple's next chapter. It was a fitting finale to a winter wedding filled with warmth, personality, and timeless romance.
