A Warm Celebration at Sweeney Barn

Katie and Monty wedding at the historic Sweeney Barn in Manassas, Virginia was a joyful celebration of love, heritage, and heartfelt connection. Set against a vibrant spring palette, the couple exchanged vows surrounded by striking floral arrangements in bold shades of orange, red, and white—an energetic contrast to the season’s soft green backdrop.

The reception unfolded beneath rustic beams and glowing chandeliers, with flowing white drapery lending a romantic softness to the barn’s architectural charm. Thoughtfully arranged tablescapes welcomed guests with gold-rimmed china and lush centerpieces that echoed the couple’s rich color story. Dinner, catered by Purple Onion Catering Co., offered a fresh and flavorful spring menu. Guests enjoyed blistered tomato and arugula salad, oak barrel-sliced petite filet with smoked bourbon demi-glace, and herb panko macaroni and cheese. For dessert, a decadent spread of mini fruit tarts, tiramisu eclairs, and chocolate-covered strawberries led to a vibrant fresh fruit cake adorned with seasonal berries and florals.
