Abbey & Aakash
Spring welcomed Abbey and Aakash to Events at Union Station for an April wedding in Washington, D.C. CG & Co Events guided the black tie celebration, pairing the landmark's Beaux Arts architecture with a modern approach to the day.
The ceremony unfolded in the Main Hall, where Sophie Felts Floral Co. lined the aisle with ivory roses, stock, and trailing greenery alongside candlelight. A round platform draped in champagne fabric framed Abbey and Aakash as they exchanged vows, accompanied by live ceremony music from Cherry Blossom String Quartet.
The space transitioned into the reception, where Frost DC illuminated the room beneath crystal chandeliers. Ivory linens, black accents, gold flatware, and rentals from All Modern Rentals and Nuage Designs shaped the tablescapes, while curved mirrored tables reflected the candlelight. White garden roses, hydrangeas, and greenery filled arrangements throughout the room, with cascading florals wrapping the DJ booth and bar. Akbar Sayed Photography follows the celebration through polished portraits and candid moments, highlighting the scale of the setting and the details throughout the day.
Family and friends filled the dance floor late into the evening, bringing Abbey and Aakash's black tie spring wedding at Union Station to a lively close.
