Leah & Gilson
Leah and Gilson celebrated their summer wedding at Oakdale in Ashland, Virginia with a celebration defined by bold color and joyful energy. Their palette of cobalt blue, vivid orange-red, and crisp white set the tone for a day that felt vibrant, playful, and unmistakably personal.
The reception design carried the palette throughout the space with lush arrangements of deep red roses and brilliant blue delphinium set atop white linens and bright orange napkins. Rustic cross-back chairs added warmth to the light-filled hall, where tall windows, an exposed stone accent wall, and a dramatic chandelier created an airy yet inviting atmosphere. The wedding party echoed the same vivid tones, with groomsmen appearing in striking blue and orange suits that added a lively visual moment to the celebration.
Guests were treated to an impressive culinary spread beginning with passed bruschetta crostini topped with fresh tomatoes, basil chiffonade, and balsamic drizzle. Later, a colorful dessert display of miniature fruit tarts piled with strawberries, blueberries, and peaches added a bright and refreshing finish.
As the evening unfolded, DJ Rodney Lee kept the dance floor packed with high-energy music, while Benjamin McLean Photography preserved the celebration with a vibrant, documentary-style perspective. The Oakdale team led the coordination and venue experience seamlessly from ceremony to reception. The night ended with a sparkling send-off as Leah and Gilson ran through a tunnel of sparklers, closing their wedding with pure excitement and joy.
