Charleston Grandeur at William Aiken House

Carolyn & Jacob
Carolyn and Jacob’s love story unfolded at the William Aiken House, where historic architecture, secluded gardens, and the timeless beauty of downtown Charleston created an unforgettable setting for their spring celebration. With PPHG overseeing the planning, catering, and venue, every detail reflected the elegance and charm of one of Charleston’s most iconic historic properties.
The ceremony embraced the venue’s striking white brick façade, soaring Gothic windows, and grand double doors. Sculptural floral arrangements by Tiger Lily Weddings of hydrangeas, blush roses, lilac chrysanthemums, and soft pink anthuriums introduced a romantic palette that carried throughout the celebration. Carolyn’s timeless ballgown, cathedral length veil, and bouquet of white phalaenopsis orchids, tulips, and calla lilies beautifully complemented the refined aesthetic, while Jacob’s white dinner jacket added a classic black tie touch. Kelsey Paige Photography brought the story of the day to life, highlighting both the architectural beauty of the venue and the joyful moments shared throughout the celebration.
The floral design transitioned seamlessly from the ceremony into the evening, shifting from a refined all white palette to romantic arrangements of blush, green, and ivory. Sculptural centerpieces of anthuriums, hydrangeas, calla lilies, and cascading amaranthus brought texture and movement to cocktail hour, while the bar became its own focal point with lush blooms of blush hydrangeas, white peonies, and trailing orchids.
As evening settled, the gardens transformed into an enchanting outdoor reception beneath a magnificent tree draped with cascading string lights. Carolyn and Jacob shared their first dance beneath the glowing canopy before guests filled the dance floor in celebration. Framed by twinkling lights and the timeless beauty of the William Aiken House, the evening closed on a scene that felt quintessentially Charleston.
