Classic Waterfront Romance at Kingsmill Resort

With the James River stretching beyond its riverside lawns, Kingsmill Resort provided an unforgettable backdrop for Sydney and Dillon’s early autumn wedding. Mak's Captured Moments paired the beauty of the waterfront with the authentic moments that defined the celebration.

A palette of crisp white and fresh green carried throughout the day, reflected in floral design by Riverwood Designs and thoughtful details including a petal-lined aisle and "For Your Happy Tears" keepsakes. The waterfront lawn welcomed guests for the ceremony, where a wooden cross framed by abundant white florals overlooked the James River beneath a canopy of crape myrtle trees.

The ballroom welcomed guests for the reception, where sparkling chandeliers, warm uplighting, and elegant tablescapes created a timeless atmosphere. White florals, gold accents, and taper candles framed the sweetheart table, while oyster shell keepsakes offered a meaningful nod to Virginia’s Tidewater heritage.
