Electric Autumn Romance at Torpedo Factory Art Center

Lane & Thomas
Lane and Thomas tied the knot in a high energy September celebration at Torpedo Factory Art Center, where industrial architecture, dramatic lighting, and vibrant personal details transformed the iconic Alexandria venue into a celebration that felt artistic, modern, and completely alive. The wedding blended raw architectural character with warmth, movement, and nonstop celebration, with Kelly Cannon Events shaping the evening with a seamless balance of energy and refinement.
The venue’s soaring main hall served as both ceremony and reception space, layered with deep purple uplighting, glowing string lights, exposed pipes, and cascading greenery woven throughout the industrial interior. Floral design by Helen Olivia Flowers embraced a romantic yet modern edge, from the cascading bouquet of ranunculus, dahlias, carnations, and trailing fern to the lush greenery centerpieces softening the concrete and steel surroundings. Bee Two Sweet captures the celebration through a cinematic, art driven lens, leaning into dramatic light, saturated color, and striking composition to create imagery that feels both atmospheric and deeply alive.
Guests gathered for dinner and dancing beneath the Torpedo Factory’s glowing mezzanine as Catering by LT carried the evening with globally inspired dishes and playful late night touches, including a towering pistachio baklava cake layered with honey soaked phyllo, crushed pistachios, white roses, and orchids that quickly became one of the night’s standout details.
As the evening unfolded, music by Eight Past Midnight transformed the hall into a packed, electric celebration beneath the glow of string lights and purple uplighting. The energy reached a peak when Thomas grabbed the microphone for an impromptu performance that sent the crowd into cheers, closing out a wedding that felt vibrant, expressive, and completely unforgettable in the heart of Old Town Alexandria.
