From Verdant Gardens to Charleston’s Historic Heart at Merchants Hall

Melanie and Brett celebrated their love on a radiant summer day in July, exchanging vows at the breathtaking Parsonage at St. Johannes before moving to Merchants Hall for their reception.

The garden ceremony unfolded in a verdant oasis, with wooden chairs arranged among lush greenery and palm trees. Coastal Creations styled a romantic floral arch of blush and white roses, ranunculus, and greenery that framed the couple’s vows. Melanie carried a bouquet echoing the same palette, her look completed with soft, timeless beauty by Lashes & Lace. Brett looked dapper in a light grey suit with a crisp white boutonnière.

At Merchants Hall, Nicole Wood Weddings & Events orchestrated a seamless transformation that brought refined sophistication to the historic brick venue. Tables dressed in pristine white linens were surrounded by gold Chiavari chairs from Curated Events, setting the stage for Coastal Creations’ lush centerpieces of fuchsia roses, blush peonies, and ivory hydrangeas. Mercury glass votives glowed beneath the chandeliers, while the couple shared their first dance. The bride’s ethereal gown, with its delicate strapping and layered skirt, flowed gracefully as she and Brett danced among family and friends.

The celebration concluded with a classic white cake, adorned with a vivid red rose and delicate pink blooms, a sweet reflection of the day’s romantic color story.
