Giddy in Love at Mount Ida Farm & Vineyard

Rose and Adam bubbled over with love for each other, welcoming guests to their late September Mount Ida Farm & Vineyard soiree. The exclusive 5,000-acre Charlottesville wedding destination painted a glorious canvas of lulling rolling pastures and Blue Ridge Mountain vistas on a peaceful pastoral fall day.

Charlottesville wedding planner Hannah Rose Events organized a soulful celebration for friends and family that included a touching traditional pre-ceremony tea and sentimental gift exchange with both the bride and the groom’s parents among Mount Ida’s stately antique parlor furnishings.

Pops of color sang in deep emerald and blue bridesmaids’ dresses and peach, apricot, pink and ivory roses set a romantic note against the autumn countryside landscape. Charlottesville wedding photographers from 3 Cats Photography captured a special first look with the bridal party smiling from the manor home’s balcony, guests’ delight as precious flower girls entered the ceremony in a red wagon, and a shimmering golden hour newlywed shoot with warm twirls and sunlit embraces.

An animated drum and brass band paraded the wedding party and guests from the al fresco country estate cocktail hour to the blissful reception space. Charlottesville wedding rentals by MS Events and The Lighting Professors brought the Lodge reception to radiant life with gold-trimmed china, rose gold flatware, rustic green linens and vintage opaque blue and green goblets next to tall peach and ivory candlesticks. Strung greenery, twinkling bistro lights and striking crystal chandeliers glinted on black and white photos of ancestors on their wedding days.

High-touch Charlottesville catering leader Exchange Events + Catering passed gourmet appetizers, guided guests to a Virginia ham and cheddar biscuit station and poured his and hers drinks — an earl grey bourbon punch for the groom and a bride’s choice spiced pear Moscow mule. A “Love is Sweet, Enjoy a Treat” gourmet cupcake table beckoned and a donut truck offered late-night dance floor fuel.
