Golden Lakeside Luxury at Mount Ida

Alyssa and Michael ‘s intimate autumn celebration unfolded on a dreamy private lake at Mount Ida Farm & Vineyard. Planners from Boundless Love Events orchestrated the sun-soaked afternoon and captivating Water’s Edge floating dock vows, ushering guests down the property’s white sand beach. The Weddings by Vogue floral design team elevated the earthy rustic aesthetic with natural elements intertwined in sweet blooms in the softest shades of pink, blush and ivory.
Steeped in wine country splendor and gilded October beauty, the private and exclusive Charlottesville wedding welcomed wide smiles and celebratory hugs. An intimate wedding party of two bridesmaids and groomsmen beamed in champagne velvet gowns and steel grey suits. Charlottesville wedding photographers from Amative Creative had fun with the playful couple, strolling the blissful bucolic estate, capturing their hand-written letters to each other alongside tender getting ready moments in Mount Ida’s 1795 manor. The bride’s far-reaching veil flowed endlessly in the evening breeze, setting a striking scene while autumn’s harmonious trees reflected on the pristine lake in a wash of reds and burnt orange.
The afternoon ceremony rolled into an open-air cocktail hour followed by first dances in the gracefully draped winery event space under regal chandeliers. Thoughtful personalized touches defined the reception with antique family wedding photos, a creative bride and groom crossword puzzle, etched mirror table seating directions and a bar designed in honor of the couple’s dog Behr complete with Behr napkins and stickers.
Revered Charlottesville wedding caterer Exchange Events + Catering impressed with a plated gourmet feast that began with arugula caprese salads and culminated with vegan and gluten-free cookies and a triple-layer wedding cake.
