Lacey and Caitlin’s July wedding at Cannon Green brought friends and family together to witness love embraced by sophisticated urban elegance and verdant garden bliss. Charleston wedding planners with MOD Events orchestrated the day, pivoting to an intimate flower-petal-lined indoor ceremony inside the historic Trolley Room and flowing into the adjoining reception space for cocktail hour over Moscow mules and group hugs.
 
Summer evening raindrops subsided and the sun emerged for celebratory photos in front of the courtyard’s grand palmettos. Chelsea Paige Photography accentuated the couple’s joy with stunning Cannon Green backdrops, capturing a tender first look under ancient yawning live oaks where the couple shared soft embraces and wiped away each other’s tears. Family portraits followed, hugged by vibrant glowing gardens and sweeping Spanish moss.
 
The MOD Events Florals team curated petite bouquets in natural ivory and lush leafing, setting a rich flowing fairytale vibe down long community reception tables. The expansive Trolley Room’s white oak wood floors and ambient lighting twinkled against creamy linens, sterling flatware and floating ivory candles. In-house catering experts passed gourmet hors d’oeuvres before guiding guests to a stationed slider bar sided by summer salads, skewered grilled vegetables and corn on the cob. Sweet mother-daughter first dances, a playful cake cutting and wild enthusiastic dance moves crowned the celebration.
