Sophisticated Simplicity at The Clifton Inn

Anika and Patt’s late spring wedding at The Clifton Inn beamed with polished elegance and genuine magnetic love. The Smiths Photography played up the rainy May day, using the historic estate’s lavish glistening landscape to accentuate the enchanted woodland feel. Sweet umbrella props and black and white portrait photography showcased The Clifton’s intimate secret garden and admired croquet lawn. Charlottesville wedding florist Gregory Britt Design called in natural elements to build an inspired flourishing bridal bouquet of tall foliage and pristine white blooms.

Charlottesville wedding planner Bryce Carson of Roberts & Co. Events pivoted the showery May nuptials to be shared under the Clifton Colonial Revival manor home’s columned front entrance, doling out umbrellas for every guest and ensuring the couple never missed a beat. Peaceful intentional touches flowed throughout the celebration in simple lavender sprig and gray linen place settings, name cards designed in gorgeous calligraphy, divine Jordan Almond guest favors and chic white linens and china.

The Clifton Inn catering team served regional wine and gourmet hors d'oeuvres while the couple toasted their day with hand-crafted martinis against a rich wall of greenery inside the grand court tent. A refreshing early summer feast began with a mint lemon radish salad and ended with a delicately designed wedding cake courtesy of the talented in-house catering experts. The Andrian Duke Project provided entertainment as friends and family flooded the dance floor.
