Springtime Sophistication at Mount Ida Farm & Vineyard

Kaitlin & Bjorn
Surrounded by the rolling hills and vineyards of Charlottesville, Mount Ida Farm & Vineyard provided a breathtaking setting for Kaitlin and Bjorn’s spring wedding, where countryside beauty and timeless elegance came together effortlessly.
Mount Ida’s hilltop lawn welcomed guests for the ceremony, where a grass aisle framed by rustic wine barrels overflowing with white roses, stock, and trailing greenery overlooked sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. A palette of white and ivory carried throughout the celebration, reflected in abundant arrangements of peonies, ranunculus, tulips, garden roses, and stock by Verde Natural Florals. Kaitlin completed the romantic aesthetic with a bouquet of white peonies, ranunculus, tulips, and delicate stock, while botanical ceremony programs added a thoughtful, personalized touch.
The terrace welcomed guests for cocktail hour, where live jazz drifted through the spring evening as friends and family gathered to enjoy butlered hors d'oeuvres by The Local Catering, fresh oysters from Oyster Catcher Sea Farms, and signature cocktails overlooking the vineyard. Inside the barn, dark wood tables, clear bud vases, and candlelit centerpieces created an intimate atmosphere. Clusters of white florals and pillar candles carried the refined palette into the reception as Bachelor Boys Band filled the evening with live music. Guests embraced the celebration with playful party cap before gathering outside for a joyful ribbon wand send-off beneath the stars.
Sienna Turecamo Photography beautifully reflected the romance of Virginia wine country, preserving both the sweeping vineyard scenery and the heartfelt moments that defined the celebration. Framed by the rolling vineyards of Mount Ida Farm & Vineyard and the Blue Ridge Mountains beyond, Kaitlin and Bjorn’s celebration came to a close with the warmth, romance, and effortless charm of a Virginia spring.
