Hazy Mountain Vineyards & Brewery is an expansive panoramic estate wrapped in peaceful Blue Ridge Mountain peaks and south-facing Shenandoah Valley beauty. The family-owned and operated property invites couples to settle into timeless Tuscan architecture, elegant furnishings and historic decor. Terra cotta tile roofing, abundant stonework, stucco walls and free-flowing vines summon romantic nods to Italy and an elevated hilltop perch reveals exquisite 360-degree views.
Host a rehearsal dinner or welcome party in the private tasting room with Hazy Mountain old world-style wine and beers. Design your dream ceremony on the hardscape ceremony lawn flowing down from the stone terrace, flanked by dazzling white hydrangeas and gazing out over the vineyard and rolling mountainsides. Invite guests into the Solarium for a cocktail hour peering out of floor-to-ceiling windows and opening to the ceremony lawn and open-air terrace through trifold accordion doors. Celebrations gracefully transition from vows to cocktails to dancing and dinner through this unified design, connecting all spaces and effortlessly shifting into the grand reception hall. This customizable space delivers a warm ambient feel with porcelain tile and natural finish wood detail, a built-in dance floor and moveable stage under a vaulted ceiling, Douglas fir timbers, three grand chandeliers and soft uplighting.
“The grand hall is very unique to the area,” says Hazy Mountain General Manager Sarah McGinnis. "Photographers love the striking presence and couples love that they’re likely the first in their friend group to get married here.”
When the party winds down, rest and relish in thoughtful hospitality and Italian charm in the Villa — the original structure of the Hazy Mountain estate. The gorgeous manor is designed with plush linens, gilded chandeliers, marble countertops and other comforts. The Villa sleeps 16 and can be rented for a full week or a wedding weekend stay of three nights.
Work one-on-one with the onsite culinary team to create the perfect menu. Pluck from selections that include baked crab dip, melon skewers wrapped in prosciutto, braised short rib and caramelized onion crostini, mini Virginia ham biscuits with apple chutney, grilled eggplant, pistachio crusted lamb chops and filet mignon along with a playful menu of late-night snack delights.
“Our planning team allows the couple to completely customize their floor plan and wedding day layout. We craft everything to their preference,” McGinnis says. “We provide full packages and full-service planning so busy couples can relax and enjoy the fun parts of the process.”

What makes a Hazy Mountain wedding special?
The scenery, the architecture and the customization. We don’t operate off of a limited preferred vendors list. We assist couples with finding their true style using as many vendors as they’d like. If they want a live painter, a donut truck, a DJ — we’ll make it all happen for them.

That moment at the end of the ceremony where everyone is really joyous and the couple is walking back down the aisle. Everyone is in place, on the lawn, starting the great party that’s going to take place.

A private last dance in the grand hall with guests waiting outside to do a sparkler exit. We love to give the couple that moment to soak in their wedding day and everything they’ve worked towards. That private moment is really nice to have.
