A Celebration of Love and Memory at Dunes West Golf & River Club

Jennifer and Aaron celebrated their May wedding at Dunes West Golf & River Club, where moss-draped oaks, sweeping marsh views, and a winding river created a quintessential Lowcountry backdrop.

With Sammond Events orchestrating every detail, Leigh Hayward Photography preserving the day in luminous imagery, and Will Wright Films capturing its spirit in motion, the celebration unfolded with effortless grace. Jennifer wore an off-the-shoulder gown with a dramatic train and carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas, her father’s favorite flower. A charm bearing his photo rested within the bouquet, a tender detail that kept him close throughout the day. Hydrangeas also filled the bridesmaids’ and mothers’ bouquets, weaving memory and beauty into the ceremony. Aaron looked timeless in a black tuxedo accented with a white boutonnière that echoed Jennifer’s bouquet.

The reception glowed with natural light streaming through floor-to-ceiling windows. White hydrangeas adorned each table, blending elegance with a touch of Lowcountry charm. Guests enjoyed a seafood display crowned with a multi-tiered ice sculpture of crab and oysters, along with a menu that celebrated Charleston’s coastal cuisine. A refined cake by Tenacious Tart served as a sweet centerpiece for the evening.

The night ended in a flourish of joyful dancing, custom Mississippi State cowbells, and a spirited send-off to “Don’t Stop Believin’,” sung MSU-style beneath a sea of flashlights. The celebration was at once romantic and personal.
