A Midsummer Dream at River Farm

Margaret and Joe’s love story unfolded like a midsummer dream at River Farm, where sweeping lawns and soft June light created a celebration that felt romantic, joyful, and deeply personal. From the garden ceremony to the glowing tented reception, every detail carried a sense of warmth and thoughtful intention, with Cherry Blossom Wedding & Events shaping the day with an effortless blend of elegance and intimacy.

Guests were welcomed with a banner framed by rattan lanterns and layers of white and powder blue florals that introduced the palette woven throughout the day. The ceremony took place beneath one of River Farm’s towering trees, where arrangements of ranunculus, delphinium, lily of the valley, and lush greenery by Wander & Whimsy lined the aisle against the estate’s historic garden walls. Margaret carried a delicate bouquet of lily of the valley, while her bridesmaids wore mismatched blue and floral gowns paired with overflowing basket arrangements that added to the garden inspired atmosphere. Molly Lichten Photography approaches the celebration with a refined, light filled perspective that highlights both the softness of the setting and the joyful movement woven throughout the day.

Inside the tent reception, draped ceilings, crystal chandeliers wrapped in greenery, and flowing blue linens transformed the space into a layered, candlelit garden party. Long farm tables overflowed with lush florals spilling onto the floor, creating a setting that felt abundant yet effortless. Catering by Main Event Caterers reflected the couple personally, from a bao bun and dumpling station honoring Joe’s heritage to thoughtfully curated late night bites that kept guests gathered around the dance floor well into the evening.

As the evening unfolded, music by Dan Goldman Events carried the celebration into a lively night as guests waved glow sticks and celebrated late into the evening while the Potomac shimmered quietly beyond the grounds.
