An Ode to Springtime Romance at the Antebellum of New Kent

Brooke & Joseph
Within the airy elegance of Antebellum of New Kent, Brooke and Joseph exchanged vows beneath soaring two-story ceilings awash in natural light. The groom was distinguished in a charcoal gray three-piece suit with a silk tie and ivory ranunculus boutonnière, while the bride was radiant in a lace gown adorned with intricate botanical appliqués, her hair styled in soft cascading waves. Bridesmaids in flowing dusty blue gowns carried textured bouquets of ivory peonies, ranunculus, blue delphinium, eucalyptus, and thistle, artfully arranged by Coleman Brothers Flowers to reflect an organic, garden-inspired charm.
The ceremony unfolded before the venue’s dramatic double staircase, its newel posts draped in towering arrangements of hydrangeas, roses, and cascading greenery accented with soft cerulean hues. Mahogany Chiavari chairs framed the hardwood aisle beneath an ornate medallion centerpiece, creating an atmosphere of Southern refinement and luminous romance.
The celebration continued on Antebellum’s sun-drenched veranda, where cocktail tables wrapped in watercolor sashes of turquoise and jade added joyful color to the crisp white setting. Inside, vintage goblets sparkled in the afternoon light, while lanterns nestled in eucalyptus wreaths brought an intimate, garden-gathered feel to each table. Guests dined on a seasonal menu by Homemades by Suzanne, followed by a buttercream cake adorned with fresh blooms by Louisa's Homemades. Amelia B. Photography approached the day with timeless grace, while RVA Film Works captured its warmth and movement in cinematic detail.
As twilight descended, Brooke and Joseph made their exit through a tunnel of sparklers glowing in the evening air—a radiant finale to a celebration defined by elegance, color, and heartfelt joy.
