Michelle and Jason celebrated their October wedding at Planters Inn in the heart of downtown Charleston, South Carolina, where the historic property and its beloved courtyard offered a setting steeped in classic Southern elegance. Bathed in the golden warmth of early autumn, the celebration blended timeless Charleston charm with refined detail, thoughtfully guided by Direct My Day Charleston.

The ceremony took place in the inn’s lush courtyard, where soaring fan palms and tropical greenery created a secluded garden setting. A white fabric arch layered with peonies, hydrangeas, roses, and eucalyptus by Branch Flower Shop framed the altar, while rose petals lined the aisle between rows of gold Chiavari chairs. Pillar candles flickered softly along the pathway as Michelle and Jason exchanged vows beneath the floral arch before guests showered them with petals as they walked back down the aisle. A vintage car from The Pink Figgy added a charming touch for portraits and a nod to classic Charleston style.

The reception followed inside the Peninsula Grill’s private dining room, where arched French windows, crystal chandeliers, and classic sconces lent the space a refined, old-world Charleston atmosphere. Tables dressed in crisp white linens were styled with gold-rimmed chargers, black napkins, crystal stemware, and white floral centerpieces that echoed the ceremony’s romantic palette. Peninsula Grill curated the evening’s dining experience, bringing guests together around a beautifully prepared dinner.

As the evening unfolded, the couple entered the reception to cheers from their guests before the dance floor filled with laughter and joyful spins. Leigh Hayward Photography brought a polished, timeless perspective to the celebration, preserving the warmth and elegance of their Charleston wedding as the night carried on in joyful celebration.
